Patterned after kibbutz settlements in Israel, Côte Brillante combines community, economy, security and state-building essentials
History of Côte Brillante
Conceived in the aftermath of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Côte Brillante is a homeowner-controlled community similar in concept to a kibbutz in Israel.
Since the early 1900’s “kibbutzim” have been a settlement movement for the purpose of statebuilding in Israel, by which the late Prime Minister Levi Eshkol said, “we made the desert bloom.” Paulos Group shares this same statebuilding priority and desire to see Haiti bloom too.
Côte Brillante is the product of Paulos Group’s vision & values, and the vertical integration of many accelerators, including: climate-resilient affordable housing, solar energy, mortgage lending and social reform.
Ecotourism is the economic engine of Côte Brillante.
